If you are Danille Paille of the Boston Bruins, you likely are not feeling too good right now.

During today's 2-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Brooks Oprik found the Bruins' winger in the middle of the second period of the match.

It was a clean hit, and Paille didn't seem to hurt as he got right back into the game and finished playing.

This was by far one of the best hits of all time, but where does it rank among some of the all time best?

Let us take a look.

The trade deadline is creeping up on us and, as always, rumors are a plenty. 

The Vancouver Canucks are once again looking like a dangerous Stanley Cup threat. They have, however, been criticized for lacking grit; something that they'll be looking to disprove in the coming weeks.  

Every team approaches the new season differently. With All-Star festivities wrapping up last weekend, the NHL season is now well past its half-way point—many teams who were picked for great things before the first game have failed to live up to expectations.

In a year in which seemingly every team can make a run for a play-off spot, there are a handful of teams who have managed to anchor themselves in the bottom-feeder club.

With three-and-a-half weeks to go before the NHL's trade deadline, the rumors are starting to pick up.  The NHL's trade deadline isn't one that receives a lot of media attention, but it's one of the more active ones amongst the major sports.  Big name players are always swapped, and usually it isn't much of a secret who will be on the move.

The NHL is one of the most physical, fast paced sports out there. The physicality, among just about every other thing about hockey, is why we love the game. 

While the nature of the game does create entertainment, it also results in numerous injuries; an issue that has really taken light this season.  

But why is this the season that it's getting attention? Injuries happen every year. 

After two hard-fought games against the Western Conference's elite—the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings—it is clear that there is little separating the top teams in the NHL's West.

He obviously possesses the hardest shot in the NHL, but who else will make the grade for having one of the most lethal slap shots in the league?

These men all have dangerous slap shots that can do some serious damage if you get in its way.

Perhaps the truth of the matter is that both positive and negative sentiments are correct at one time or another.

The reality is that it is much more of a complex relationship that fans and haters have with this team—which makes them that much more fun to talk about.

The Colorado Avalanche currently sit in the ninth seed in the super-competitive Western Conference.

With the Avalanche sitting in position to push their way into the playoffs, this year's team seems primed and ready to gain a postseason birth.
