NHL Trade Rumors: Tampa Bay and Anaheim Flip Goalies

Well everyone, get ready as the hashtag that swept Twitter will once again be brought to life.

Early Thursday morning Tampa Bay Lightning GM Steve Yzerman swapped goalies with the Anaheim Ducks bringing in back up Curtis McElhinney.

Ellis has been used seldom since the Lightning acquired Dwayne Roloson from the New York Islanders.

Ellis is currently 13-7-6 in 31 games with a .889 save percentage and a 2.73 goals against average.

The Ducks could afford to give up their back up as they claimed Ray Emery of waivers last month and currently called him to cover for the injured Jonas Hiller.

McElhinney is 6-9-1 in 21 games with a .890 save percentage and a 3.43 goals against average.

Steve Yzerman continues to make moves this year trying to help build a winner in Tampa. Last week he traded for Eric Brewer from the St. Louis Blues.

Ducks GM Bob Murray has been busy himself acquiring Francois Beauchemin from the Leafs, Jarkko Ruutu from the Sens and a couple draft picks.
