A Call to Arms For Bruins and Habs Writers!

Did you ever have that moment during a game, one that either aggravates or elates?
Did you ever wonder, when reflecting on that moment, what the reaction must have been from the opponent’s fans?
Wonder no more because ‘Ol Revo has an idea.
I’ve discussed this idea with my Co-Community Leader a while back (the esteemed Mark Marino) and more recently with a C.L. from the Montreal community (the equally esteemed Miah D.) with a new concept for B/R (also esteemed, natch).
Here’s the concept: A “Point/Counter-Point” series of articles that will analyze each game in the impending Bruins/Canadiens playoff series, presented by one writer each from both communities involved.
The title of the articles, so they can be categorized and organized, is suggested as follows:
Both Sides of the fence: Boston vs. Montreal: Game #: Point or Counter-Point.
Example:
For the sake of presenting the concept, say Montreal wins game No. 1 by a score of 3-2, Milan Lucic is assessed a five minute penalty for snapping on Mike Komisarek and Tim Thomas did not look sharp on the subsequent power-play goal.
Being that the first two games are played in Boston, the Bruins writer will lead off with his/her article featuring:
1)A game summary of who scored, what key events happened, etc.
2)“Discussion points” would also be listed in the article (identified by preceding the points with a “-“). These discussion points would be events that the writer felt were either good or bad for the Bruins (example: say the call on Lucic was very questionable, or a goal was called back that should have stood). The Montreal writer will be tasked to offer their own views on these “discussion points” along with their own summary of events.
3) A summary of what the Bruins have to improve upon for the next game, or if they win, what they have to do to keep winning.
4) Article will need to be submitted ASAP after the conclusion of the game, labeled as “Point” at the end of the title so the Montreal writer will have time to reply with the “Counter-Point”.
Games No. 3 and 4 will be played in Montreal, so for those games a Montreal writer would write the starting article, initiating the “Point” article and the Bruin's writer responding with the “Counter-Point” article.
If no one minds, I’ll take game No. 1 so that the concept can be presented more clearly, I’m hoping that Miah, Daniel, Matt, or another Montreal writer picks up the baton and runs with me.
Let me know whose interested (Boston and Montreal writers) by either responding directly to this article or leaving me a note on my profile page. I’d love to have as big a cross-section of writers as possible.
Thursday is the day. It’s Tuesday as I write this so the ball will need to get rolling quickly.
Let’s see if we can boost the exposure of both communities and see if we can bag some new writers into our proud communities.
Who knows, maybe we’ll learn something about others and ourselves to boot.
