Now that November is finally over, I’m blocking it out. Losing seven of their last eight games has dropped the Kings to the Pacific Division‘s basement and 11th overall in the Western Conference.

Physical Play Showing That LA Kings Are a Team, Perhaps Now More Than Ever

LOS ANGELES AND EL SEGUNDO, CA—To this point in the 2010-11 season, if anything is clear about the Los Angeles Kings, it is that other teams view them as one of the best teams in the NHL, and that is showing up in terms of physical play, as many opponents are going into games against the Kings trying to get them off their game through physical intimidation.

Are the Vancouver Canucks Defencemen Cursed? A Halloween Injury Update

If you are superstitious (and really, all sports fans are to some degree), you might wonder if the Canucks are cursed, specifically in regards to the health of their defence.

Over the first month of the season, Vancouver has already racked up 18 man games lost to injury just amongst their defence. Considering they have only played nine games, that is two starters out every game on average.

And unfortunately, that situation is considered average by Canucks fans recently.

New Jersey Devils-Los Angeles Kings: Can the Devils Get a Win in the West?

The New Jersey Devils have had a season to forget so far, as they continue their west coast road trip against the red-hot Los Angeles Kings. The Devils posted a victory against the Anaheim Ducks Friday night, and will try to put together consecutive wins for the first time this season.

Vancouver Canucks-LA Kings Season Opener Preview

The wait is finally over.

On Saturday October 9, the Vancouver Canucks and LA Kings will open their 2010-2011 NHL seasons at Rogers Arena.  If you can’t start your season against a divisional rival, then kicking off the season against a recent playoff opponent is the next best thing.

The 2010/2011 NHL season is only a few days away. The preseason is over and most teams are starting to take form. In the last few days many players have been put on the waiver wire. While the excitement of the preseason doesn't compare to that of the regular season, it is still great to be talking hockey again.

Former Vancouver Canucks Willie Mitchell's Send-Off To LA

Posted 08/27/2010 - 11:58 by HockeyPolls

I for one am sad to see this very popular Canuck go to the Los Angeles Kings as I was hoping the Canucks would be able to fit him into their salary cap.

But that's the realty when a player is offered a two year $7 million contract that he signed for.

That figure was never going to be in the Canucks offers and it now becomes LA’s problem at dancing with the cap space, especially if they have any intention of pursuing Ilya Kovalchuk.

NHL Rumors: Kevin Bieksa on the Trading Block

Posted 08/26/2010 - 11:57 by HockeyPolls

According to Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register, the Anaheim Ducks are looking into trading for Kevin Bieksa.

This is supposed to be a big money deal for the Ducks, and makes perfect sense as they missed out on Willie Mitchell, and now Bieksa is the top defenseman available.

NHL Buzz: Devils and Kovalchuk Head Back to the Drawing Board

According to Tom Gulitti of Fire and Ice, the New Jersey Devils and Ilya Kovalchuk will go back to the drawing board once again. Gulitti also notes that Devils GM Lou Lamoriello is not frustrated with this process at all.
