Sure, Nigel Dawes has been doing great things since coming over to the Hamilton Bulldogs in the Canadiens’ trade with the Atlanta Thrashers. He's compiled 10 points in eight games, including six goals. Unfortunately, at 5’9”, Dawes doesn’t provide the size that the Habs need up front—the Canadiens have their fair share of little guys to say the least!

The Montreal Canadiens are a team that just can't seem to catch a break this season. Playing the blazing hot Capitals last night, the Habs lost two more players to injury—Tomas Plekanec and Jeff Halpern—in a loss that hurts more than just in the standings.

The Second Line

For an entirely capable centerman, Scott Gomez is just playing some truly poor hockey right now. He’s missing passes to his wingers, constantly powering through to the offensive zone and then turning over the puck, parking himself behind the net instead of in front of it, and making poor decisions time and again.
