The San Jose Sharks announced they have resigned center Logan Couture to a two-year extension.

Couture was a Calder Cup finalist after posting very impressive numbers in his rookie season. He scored 32 goals, second-best by a rookie, and notched 24 assists, good for a total of 56 points.

The San Jose Sharks have extended Logan Couture to a two-year $5.75 million contract.

This is a solid signing as Couture is still an RFA and will not be eligible for UFA status for a while.

Logan Couture has apparently told some people that his friend Drew Doughty has expressed frustrations regarding contract negotiations with the Kings.

As reported by Brodie Brazil of CSN, the San Jose Sharks and Logan Couture have agreed to a two-year contract extension that will keep the center in teal through the 2013-14 season. Couture, who will make $1.25 million this year, will make a combined $5.75 million in the the following two seasons.
