The way things are going, by the time we get to the February 28 trade deadline, there may be no more trades left to make.

Another day of NHL trade rumors starts with another trade, albeit a small and puzzling one, as the Ottawa Senators are clearing out their inventory faster than Woolworth's.

Meanwhile the rumors continue to fly about the Los Angeles Kings and Ales Hemsky, who continues to put on a good show for his possible suitors with two more goals last night.

NHL Rumors: Phoenix Coyotes Need To Find Their Missing Puzzle Piece

The Phoenix Coyotes eliminated their reputation of being the basement dwellers of the Pacific Division last season. With teams like the Dallas Stars, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks in the same division as the Coyotes, it was hard for the Coyotes to get a break.

2010-11 NHL Predictions and Odds: Phoenix Coyotes

Phoenix should have been lousy last year.

The Coyotes had talent that looked more like it belonged in the AHL than the NHL, they were mired in ownership chaos and uncertainty, and their coach—the best player in the history of the sport—quit in the preseason.

That is a whole lot of excuses they could have used, but they didn’t use any. Instead, they started strong, maintained the pace and made the playoffs.

Anyone who says that they saw that coming is lying.

The hardest question in sports is “what if?” The question "what if" is a question which sports journalists love to throw into their articles talking about for what would have been. For the Phoenix Coyotes, the question “what if” became a reality for the 2009-2010 NHL season.

The Coyotes endured the longest off-season heading into the 2009-2010 season. In May 2009, when teams were competing for the Stanley Cup, the Coyotes were facing a competition that affects millions of families in the United States, bankruptcy.

Will the Phoenix Coyotes Be Haunted by the Ghost of the Second Half Again?

The first half of the season has already past leaving several Phoenix Coyotes opponents shutout thanks to Ilya Bryzgalov.

The Coyotes have become a success story in the Jobing Arena where the Coyotes ended a franchise record 10-game home winning streak to start the second half of the season.

The Coyotes 16-5-1 home record is second in the Western Conference next to the Chicago Blackhawks 18-4-1 home record.

While the Coyotes have enjoyed success this season, what people might have forgotten was how dominate were last year before a second half disaster.

Phoenix Coyotes Howling on Confidence

“Confidence is what it’s all about,” said Lauri Korporkski after the Coyotes dismantled the Dallas Stars, 5-2.

After losing a combined 1-6 over the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames in the last two games, the Coyotes returned to Phoenix with unfinished business. After being criticized for not scoring against the Oilers and the Flames the Coyotes had Marco Turco’s number on speed dial

How Free Agency and Trades Changed the Coyotes From Pretenders to Contenders

If the NHL was to conclude today, the Phoenix Coyotes would clinch a playoff spot, the first time since 2002. The seven year drought would looks to end with the revamped Coyotes.
