Dear Winnipeg Jets:

I'm writing you this letter because I think we need to talk about some things before your game with the Montreal Canadiens.  Your first-ever game back in the NHL, I might add. 

These are some things that aren't very easy to say, but they need to be said anyway.

* So, I see where Ryan Kesler of the Vancouver Canucks has posed au naturelle in ESPN The Magazine's 2011 Body Issue. That's right, he's buck naked. And here I thought Dustin Byfuglien of the Jets was Big Buff.

As the members of 17 Wing Winnipeg took to the freeze for their first training exercises at the MTS Iceplex this morning, I found myself wondering...

Nice of you to rub some of the squeaky-clean off 17-Wing Winnipeg, otherwise known as the Jets.

I mean, until you spent a few hours the other night in the Hennepen County hoosegow, River City's newly minted, aw-shucks hockey club had more squeaky-clean than a roomful of Richie Cunninghams.

With Zach Bogosian on the way to being signed as an RFA, the Winnipeg Jets defense could be touted as one of the best young cores with a hint of veteran presence in the NHL.

This year’s race has been one of the more interesting ones.
